Dear friends, family and all of you interested in our website and our travels,
Just over a year ago we returned from our trip around the world. A whole year we traveled from city to city, from country to country. We turned in our comfortable life for a backpack… and have returned with very fond memories of our year around the world.
We met so many great people on the way, with some of them we had a quick talk, with others we traveled together for a while, and in Ecuador we stayed with a great family for six weeks. We all studied Spanish and Matthew and Robin took music lessons.
Who would have thought that one year later, on the 7th of July 2007, Matthew, now 11years old, would return to Quito in Ecuador for 17 days. He will stay with his ‘second family’ and his favorite dog Bono. He will meet the teachers at the Spanish school – who will be looking after his Spanish skills again, his charango teacher who will play music with him again and he will visit the people at the children’s project we volunteered.
A tremendous adventure for a young boy!
